The tigers are the largest cat species on Earth and it is well-known for its power and strength. They can live in steamy hot jungles as well as icy cold forests. Mainly five different kinds of tigers are alive in the world today. These are called Bengal, Siberian, Indochinese, Sumatran and South China.According to a poll result, conducted by the animal planet, the tigers are voted as the most favorite animal by 50,000 people from 73 countries. Sadly, in the past 100 years 93% of its historic range has been lost. The current global populations of the tigers are estimated between 3,062 to 3,948. It is very less when compared to the initial period of 20th century, during that time its population is nearly about 100,000.Most of the species are becoming extinct due to lack of sufficient prey, loss of habitat and humans cruel activity. They lose their habitat due to deforestation and human occupation in their territories.
